The goal was to make a compelling graphic that would light-heartedly inform people about the realities around the BP Oilspill disaster in the Gulf Coast. It's a heavy subject, and people at that time were either not believing the story, or were already weary about the news. Our approach was meant to lighten the tone a bit, yet give some serious data.
We worked very closely with Jones-Dilworth to make this graphic happen.
